After Irking Vijay Fans & Screening 'Tiger 3' At 7 AM, Tirupur Subramaniam Resigns From Top Posts
Leading distributor and exhibitor Tirupur Subramaniam has reportedly resigned from the Tamil Nadu Film Exhibitors Association, Multiplex Association and Coimbatore District Film Exhibitors.
This development follows closely on the heels of accusations against Tirupur Subramaniam's Sri Sakthi Cinemas, alleging a breach of government regulations during the screening of Salman Khan's 'Tiger 3.' Contrary to the government directive allowing shows after 9 am, Subramaniam's theatre exhibited the film at 7 am.

In response to this situation, the Tamil Nadu government issued a notice to Subramaniam, seeking clarification on the matter. Additionally, it was noted that Sri Sakthi Cinemas had six shows instead of the prescribed five on special occasions.
The DMK government had banned the special 4 am shows after Ajith's 'Thunivu' and Vijay's 'Varisu'.
Many netizens had raked up the issue and questioned the Tamil Nadu government for allowing the said theatre to grant permission for the special shows. Notably, the fans of Vijay had come down heavily on the DMK government as 'Leo' was also not granted permission for 4 am shows.
Also, Subramaniam's claims about 'Leo' box office collection had not gone well with Thalapathy fans.
It is now reported that the authorities might impose fines for violating the government order.
The proprietor of Sri Sakthi Cinemas, Subramaniam oversees a total of 58 cinemas in the Coimbatore region alone. He has been in the business since the 1970s.
However, the exhibitor is yet to announce the reason why he resigned from the aforementioned posts, but he mentioned in his letter that he was quitting due to "personal reasons".
