Thalapathy Vijay's TVK Flag Photos Leaked Ahead Of Official Launch?

Has photos of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam's (TVK) flag, founded by actor Thalapathy Vijay, been leaked online? Several photos and video clips of what is believed to be a model of the flag have circulated on social media.

The leaked photos and videos are reportedly from a rehearsal held by Vijay on Monday. The flag will be officially launched on August 22 at the party's headquarters in Panaiyur.

According to a TVK associate close to party general secretary N Anand, Vijay will introduce the flag to party functionaries during the event at the headquarters. "Our party's flag will be hoisted on a 30-foot flagpole at our headquarters by Thalapathy Vijay. We have invited around 300 functionaries from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, and Karnataka, as well as approximately 100 journalists," DT Next quoted him as saying.

On Monday, the actor visited the party's headquarters in his BMW to take an account of the arrangments done for the flag-launch event. He rehearsed twice, the source told the website.

However, some netizens have criticized Vijay for featuring his photo on the flag. One user remarked, "Keeping your face on the party flag? Even MGR didn't do that. #VijayTVK needs a better political strategist." Another user commented, "Everyone is criticizing Anand for past mistakes, but Vijay's rehearsal of the flag hoisting looks like a movie shoot. How was this video allowed to be shot?"

It is noted that the flag used during the rehearsal is not the final version; the official flag will be revealed on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the party has planned its first state conference in September 22 in Vikravandi.

Thalapathy Vijay, who is busy with the post-production works of his upcoming movie 'GOAT', launched his party in February. His outfit did not contest in the Lok Sabha poll nor it supported any party. However, the actor has set his eyes on the 2026 Assembly polls.
