Tamil Nadu Weather: Chennai To Remain Hot & Humid As Overall Temperature Set To Increase
Tamil Nadu Weather: The temperatures in Tamil Nadu are expected to increase, and the state capital Chennai is expected to remain hot and humid.
Weather blogger Chennai Rains, in a post on X, said: "As the Rains gradually slow down over the Peninsular East coast with Thunderstorms sticking to the Ghats we can expect an increase in day temperatures from today. N. #TamilNadu may continue to remain the hottest part of the state. #Chennai to remain hot and humid. #WxwithCOMK."

The temperatures were above normal by 2°C at isolated places over the state while remaining below normal by 2-3°C at isolated places, the Regional Meterological Centre noted in its daily bulletin. "Maximum temperatures were generally near normal over rest of Tamil Nadu & Puducherry. They were in the range 35-39°C over the plains of North Interior Tamilnadu; 32-39°C over the plains of South Interior Tamilnadu; 34-37°C over Coastal Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal area and 19-26°C over hilly areas," the weather agency said.

Tiruttani Boils At 38.6°C
At 38.6°C, Tiruttani registered the highest maximum temperature while Karur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 20.5°C on Monday. Erode recorded 38.4, followed by Vellore (37.5 °C), Madurai (37 °C) and Thanjavur (37 °C).
The weather agency claims that Chennai weather is expected to be around 37-38°C with minimum temperature predicted to be around 28°C.
Weather blogger R Pradeep John of Tamil Nadu Weatherman wrote, "Another hot day for Vellore-Tiruttani belt and it is same pattern, itense storms are moving into Vellore. Similarly, Kanyakumari areas such as Pechiparai-Perunchani belt are the wettest place climatalogy wise in Tamil Nadu between March to May month. Daily thunderstorms form there and today is not an exception.
It will be gusty winds with thunder the pattern of rains in Vellore and surroundings.
Chennai was not hot as last 2 days but has become too humid, making the real feel temp too high for the body. The wet bulb temperature was close to 31 C at many parts of Chennai."
