Is Rajinikanth Frustrated Over Udhayanidhi's Possible Elevation As Deputy CM? Junior Stalin Responds

Tamil Nadu Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has denounced a misleading YouTube thumbnail that suggested Superstar Rajinikanth was frustrated over Udhayanidhi's potential elevation to Deputy Chief Minister. He expressed his surprise and concern over the clickbait title during an event on Friday.

Udhayanidhi explained, "This morning, after completing an event, I opened my phone and watched YouTube. I got scared after seeing a thumbnail in a video that read, 'Does Udhayanidhi become Deputy CM? Superstar Rajinikanth is frustrated.' There has been no announcement about any elevation yet; the decision rests entirely with the Chief Minister. Rajinikanth was heading to a movie shoot when he was confronted by the media at the airport, and he specifically asked them not to ask political questions. Yet, misleading titles like these keep surfacing."

For over a month, rumours have circulated regarding Udhayanidhi's possible promotion to Deputy CM under his father, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin. These speculations gained further traction recently when Tamil Nadu Minister Tha Mo Anbarasan hinted that an announcement about Udhayanidhi's elevation could be made within the next 7 to 10 days.

Anbarasan also shared updates about the DMK's upcoming Diamond Jubilee public meeting, scheduled for September 28, stating, "The event will be held at Kanchipuram Pachayappa's College for Men Ground, led by CM Stalin, with participation from alliance party members."

Earlier this week, Udhayanidhi had already dismissed the Deputy CM rumours, stating, "Decisions about such matters are entirely up to the Chief Minister. The media shouldn't speculate on it." When asked directly about the Deputy CM post, he humorously replied, "Who said that?" reiterating that the authority to decide lies solely with the Chief Minister.
