DMK MPs Raise Eyebrows Lauding 'Thalapathy' Udhayanidhi Stalin In Parliament Swearing-In [Watch]
The DMK MPs raised eyebrows in the Parliament on Tuesday by using slogans and praises in favour of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin's son and minister Udhayanidhi Stalin.
For instance, Central Chennai MP Dayanidhi Maran concluded his oath with a tribute to Tamil icons, including Udhayanidhi. "Long live Tamil, Long live Kalaignar, Long live Periyar, Long live Anna, Long live Muthuvel Karunanidhi Stalin, Long live Udhayanidhi," he said.

Similarly, Coimbatore MP Ganapathy Rajkumar expressed support for the future leadership of Stalin Junior. "Long live our future Udayanidhi Stalin," he said.
"Sing praises of Periyar, Anna, Kalaignar, Long live Thalaivar Thalapathy, Long live youth leader Udhayanidhi Stalin," Kanchipuram MP Selvam ended his speech.
Arakkonam MP S Jagath Rakshakan stated, "Long live Tamil, long live leader Kalaignar, Long live Thalapathy."
Other DMK MPs, like Kanchipuram MP Selvam and Arakkonam MP S Jagath Rakshakan, echoed similar sentiments, blending praise for DMK leaders with aspirations for the party's future.
Also, Tenkasi MP Rani Srikumar included several names, such as Karunanidhi, Periyar, MK Stalin, and Udhyanidhi Stalin, in her oath.
However, not all MPs followed this trend. MPs like Thanjavur MP Murasoli and Perumbalur MP Arun Nehru focused on highlighting Tamil Nadu's progress and the accomplishments of the DMK without singling out any individuals.
In a surprising turn, some well-known MPs, including TR Baalu, A Raja, and Thanga Tamizhselvan, opted for a straightforward oath without adding any extra tributes or mentions of specific leaders.
Also, Namakkal MP VS Matheswaran chose not to mention any DMK leaders by name.
It comes at a time when Udhayanidhi Stalin has been granted bail by a special court in Bengaluru over 'Sanatana Dharma' row.
