Cut up with DMK's interruptions, Minister seeks protection
Chennai, Aug 17: A Tamil Nadu Minister today sought 'protection' from Speaker P Dhanapal to talk in the Assembly, charging the opposition DMK with trying to interrupt him whenever he spoke in the House.
"Everytime I raise to say something, DMK is interrupting... I need protection to speak in the Assembly," Handlooms and Textiles Minister O S Manian said.

His comments came following DMK members raising some noisy objections when he wanted to give some clarification to their colleague Mahesh Poyyamozhi who raised some issue. To this, the Speaker said that it was his duty to provide protection to every member.
