Come Back Victorious, Vijay Anna: Sathyraj's Son Sibiraj Writes 'Oru Kutti' Letter To TVK Chief
The Sathyaraj household finds itself at the centre of a political storm as a deep ideological rift has emerged between siblings Sibiraj and Divya. While actor Sibiraj has penned a poignant tribute or 'oru' kutti letter' (a small story) to Thalapathy Vijay, his sister and father have launched scathing attacks against the actor-turned-politician following a violent confrontation on the campaign trail.
A Brotherhood Beyond Politics
In a heartfelt open letter shared on X, Sibiraj recalled his decades-long bond with Vijay, dating back to a chance meeting on a Pollachi hotel terrace in 1993. Sibiraj expressed a sentiment shared by millions, admitting he is still coming to terms with Vijay's retirement from cinema to pursue a full-time political career.

Sibiraj also shared personal milestones linked to the star, noting that his first date with his now-wife, Revathi, was a screening of Priyamanavale. Closing with the iconic Pokkiri line-"Once I make a decision, I don't even listen to myself"-Sibiraj offered his unwavering support for Vijay's upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly election bid, signing off with: "Come back victorious, Leader! Full Text From His Letter
Dear Vijay Anna,
It was on the 3rd of October 1993 I first met you when you had come along with SAC Sir and Captain Vijayakanth Uncle to attend the birthday celebration of Appa at Pollachi Shakthi Hotel Terrace. Little did I know that this unassuming young man was gonna win millions of hearts including mine and become a force to be reckoned with in the future!
Even though we still can't come to terms with the fact that you are not going to act anymore, I, as a fan, actor, brother, and friend, feel it is important to respect your decision to take a new path, and will always stand by you.
Over the years, you have directly or indirectly played a major part in my life, and I'm sure the same is true for millions of your fans.
Many of my closest friendships were formed because we were united by our love for you. The first date with my then-lover-turned-wife, Revathi, was watching Priyamanavale at Albert Theatre on 20-11-2000.
The heated yet healthy arguments and debates I've had were often while defending you against loved ones who admired your respectable and mighty competitors.
I enjoyed your victories as much as my own.
The personal moments I got to spend with you over the years - especially when we came over to your place for dinner, when you attended the launch ceremony of my film Lee, the calls I received from you wishing me success for some of my films, and the immediate responses I get whenever I call or text you are the most cherished memories of my life.
Even though I come from a Cinema background, you were a major inspiration for me to enter the world of cinema.
Your films, though often seen as pure entertainment, taught me the value of true love, friendship, confidence, self-respect, decisiveness, and much more. Your kutti stories offered deeper insights into life than most self-help literature ever could.
'ஒரு வாட்டி முடிவு பண்ணிட்டேன்னா என் பேச்ச நானே கேட்க மாட்டேன்'.
Translation: "Once I've made a decision, I won't even listen to my own words." (A famous punchline from Vijay's film Pokkiri).
We've come to realise over the years that this is not just a movie dialogue but the very philosophy you live by and inspire us to do the same!
Thank you for directly or indirectly inspiring us and for keeping us entertained and happy for over the last 33 years, dear Anna.
We will always cherish the wonderful celluloid moments you have given us.
வென்று வா தலைவா! நாங்க இருக்கோம்.
Translation: "Come back victorious, Leader! We are here [for you]."
With love and love only,
Sibi
Divya Sathyaraj Allegedly Targeted
The warmth of Sibiraj's tribute stands in stark contrast to the experience of his sister, Divya Sathyaraj. As the State Deputy Secretary of the DMK, Divya alleged she was physically assaulted by members of Vijay's party, Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), during a campaign event in Chennai.
According to Divya, a group of TVK supporters threw slippers at her while she was addressing a crowd. "I was horrified, but I did not stop my speech," she stated, emphasizing that ideological differences never justify violence.
Divya also took a personal swipe at Vijay, referencing his private life and his wife, Sangeetha. "A woman cannot be slippered for having an opinion. The leader of TVK must advise his members to respect women. Mrs Sangeetha Vijay is one of the most amazing women I have ever known, and she deserves respect too," she added.
Sathyaraj's "Kothu Parotta" Warning
The friction follows recent remarks from veteran actor and vocal DMK supporter Sathyaraj. Speaking in Perambalur, the elder Sathyaraj mocked Vijay's political posturing and his perceived familiarity with Chief Minister M.K. Stalin.
Sathyaraj pointed out that Vijay's decision to call the Chief Minister "Stalin Uncle" was a luxury he wouldn't have enjoyed under previous regimes. "Imagine if he had called Jayalalithaa Madam 'Aunty'," Sathyaraj remarked. "He would have been bashed like kothu parotta."
