Cocaine ‘Given’ To Srikanth?: RJ Suchitra Mocks Media Narrative After Tamil Actor’s Arrest
As Tamil actor Srikanth gets arrested for the alleged possession of cocaine, singer Suchitra has mocked the Tamil TV channels for their coverage that apparently tries to protect the actor.
In an Instagram post, Suchitra remembered how she was accused of being a drug addict when she had made shocking allegations about Kollywood celebrities taking drugs.

What Suchi Claims?
On Monday, Srikanth was arrested by the Greater Chennai Police in connection with the drug case.
In the post titled, 'K'wood Cocaine Arrests', she wrote, "Never thought I'd get this 'I told you so' moment, but when I spoke about cocaine at K'wood parties - y'all called ME a drug addict 🤧
Amazing how news channels (and the comments) beneath are saying cocaine was 'given to' Actor Srikanth 🤔🤔. They don't 'buy it' apparently. It is 'given to them'. ☝🏽
Your macho heroes are therefore really lollipop-licking stranger-loving kids who will eat anything that's given to them?
Enjoy the news, everyone! 🥳"
Her sarcastic post on the drug culture and how the Tamil media projects the news has gone viral.
Srikanth Sent To Judicial Custody
Following the arrest, it was revealed that a functionary of the AIADMK IT wing named T Prasad has reportedly supplied the banned substance to Srikanth. He was produced before a Magistrate who has sent him for judicial custody until July 7.
The order was passed by Magistrate Dhayalan of the 14th Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, following a hearing at the magistrate's residence in the Judicial Officers' Quarters. The actor was represented by his advocate, Vignesh Ramanadhan.
Srikanth was taken to the Nungambakkam Police Station and questioned for over nine hours. During this period, a blood sample was collected, and tests later confirmed the presence of a narcotic substance in his system. As per procedure, he was also taken to Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for a medical examination before the hearing.
Srikanth, who debuted on the silver screen in the 2002 film Roja Kootam, is the latest in a series of South Indian actors to face investigation in drug-related probes. In April, Malayalam actors Shine Tom Chacko and Sreenath Bhasi were questioned by excise officials based on a statement from a woman found in possession of drugs.
