Minor girl kidnapped, raped in Punjab

Moga (Pb), Oct 12: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a youth in Dhurkot Tahliwala village here, police said on Monday.

The victim was allegedly kidnapped from her home last evening by Jagseer Singh (24), who took her to a deserted house in the village and raped her, they said.

The accused then left the victim near her house and escaped, police said. On the complaint of the girl's father, a case of kidnapping and rape was registered against him under relevant sections of the IPC and the POCSO Act, they said.

Police is investigating the matter and no arrest has been made in this connection, police said.
