Why Are Yash-Darshan Being Trolled After HD Kumaraswamy's Meeting With Sumalatha?

Rocking Star Yash and Challenging Star Darshan stood as pillars of strength for Mandya MP Sumalatha during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. It was her first election following her husband Ambareesh's demise.

After the Congress denied a ticket, she was denied a ticket. Opting to run independently against HD Kumaraswamy's son, Nikhil, in a contest of prestige, Sumalatha faced considerable opposition.

Why Are Yash-Darshan Being Trolled

The battle held significant weight for HD Kumaraswamy, who served as Chief Minister while the JDS was in coalition with the Congress. The Congress yielded the Mandya seat to the JDS as per their agreement, leaving Sumalatha ticketless.

Upon Sumalatha's decision to run, the BJP, aiming to defeat the JDS-Congress candidate, threw its support behind her. Despite being aware of the potential repercussions of campaigning against the Chief Minister's son, Yash and Darshan threw their support behind her.

Fast forward to 2024, the political landscape has shifted. HD Kumaraswamy has forged alliance with the BJP and is now contesting from Mandya himself. The BJP, previously backing Sumalatha, is now hesitant to support her and is attempting to sway her to their side.

As Sumalatha deliberates on her next move, Kannada actors Yash and Darshan find themselves targeted by certain netizens amidst the changing political dynamics.

A section of netizens are trolling the two actors whether they extend support to Sumalatha, this time.

Nonetheless, Sumalatha has claimed that Darshan will be with her when she announces her next move while Yash has apparently decided to stay away from politics.
