Town Festival Traffic Alert: Road Closures And Alternate Routes For Bengaluru

Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: The Bengaluru Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory and imposed specific restrictions to ensure smooth vehicular movement during the Deepotsava and Pallakki in view of Town Festival taking place on July 30 and 31. Heavy goods vehicles are restricted in the areas of Gunjur, Balagere, Gunjur Palya, and Vinayaka Nagar.

Check Routes for Heavy Vehicles:

• Hoskote: Heavy vehicles should turn left at Hope Farm and proceed towards Sarjapura via Channasandra.
• HAL Old Airport Road: Heavy trucks need to go via Varthur Kodi, Hope Farm, and Channasandra towards Sarjapura.
• Sarjapura: Heavy vehicles can use Chikkathirupathi, Dommasandra, and Kodathi to reach Bellandur.
• Bellandur: Heavy vehicles should travel via Kodathi and Dommasandra towards Sarjapura.

Check Routes for BMTC Buses:

• Gunjur Depo-41 to Varthur: Buses can use Nerege Road, Hosahalli, and Madhura Nagara to reach Varthur.

Regular commuters are requested to cooperate with these restrictions to ensure smooth traffic flow during the festival.

In another development, the BBMP has started a major white-topping project on roads extending from Rajajinagar 1st Block to Dr. Rajkumar Road. This project will lead to a complete ban on all vehicular movement along this route for a minimum of five months, significantly improving Bengaluru's road infrastructure.
