PM Modi In Bengaluru: Namma Bengaluru Yellow Line Metro To Vande Bharat Train Launch; PM's Full Day Schedule

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Karnataka on August 10. During his visit, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for several developmental projects. Traffic restrictions are expected in Bengaluru from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm due to the anticipated crowds and VIP movements.

Metro and Rail Projects

At around 11 am, PM Modi will flag off three Vande Bharat Express trains at KSR Railway Station in Bengaluru. These trains will connect Bengaluru to Belagavi, Amritsar to Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, and Nagpur (Ajni) to Pune. Following this, he will inaugurate the Yellow line of the Bangalore Metro.

The Yellow line stretches from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra, covering over 19 km with 16 stations. This project is valued at approximately ₹7,160 crore. With its inauguration, Bengaluru's operational metro network will expand to over 96 km.

Future Metro Developments

PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the Bangalore Metro Phase-3 project. This phase will span more than 44 km with 31 elevated stations and is estimated to cost over ₹15,610 crore. These developments aim to enhance urban connectivity in Bengaluru significantly.

Traffic Advisory for Bengaluru

Bengaluru Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory for August 10 due to PM Modi's visit. Motorists should avoid Marenahalli Main Road, Marenahalli East End Main Road Junction, Silk Board to Hosur via Electronic City Elevated Flyover, and Hosur Road during this period.

Alternative routes have been suggested for commuters. To reach Jayadeva Hospital from Rajalakshmi Junction, use Sarakki Market Road and IG Circle. For Bannerghatta Road access, divert via Outer Ring Road from Sarakki Junction.

Alternate Routes for Commuters

To reach Banashankari from East End Circle, travel through Delmia Junction and Kanakapura Road. For those heading towards Kanakapura, Mysuru, or Tumakuru roads from Hosur Road, take Jigani Road and NICE Road.

Commuters travelling from NICE Road to Hosur Road should exit at Bannerghatta Junction. To reach Sarjapur or Whitefield from Hosur, take Dommasandra Road via Chandapura Junction.

PM Modi's visit underscores the government's commitment to improving infrastructure in Karnataka. The new metro lines and train services are expected to boost connectivity and ease transportation challenges in the region.
