Live Bangalore Central Election Results 2024: PC Mohan vs Mansoor Ali Khan
Bangalore Central is one of the 28 Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka, located in southern India. This seat was created following the delimitation in 2008, carved out of Bengaluru South and Bengaluru North. The constituency has a significant minority electorate, including around 5.5 lakh Tamils, 4.5 lakh Muslims, and approximately 2 lakh Christians, along with a notable number of Marwaris and Gujaratis. Bengaluru Central Lok Sabha constituency comprises eight Vidhan Sabha seats, two of which are reserved. A total of eight assembly constituencies are part of this Parliament seat that are Sarvagnanagar, C.V Raman Nagar, Shivajinagar, Shanti Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Rajaji Nagar, Chamarajpet and Mahadevapura.
The Bengaluru Central Lok Sabha seat in Karnataka has consistently been held by the BJP. Up to 2019, only three elections have been held for this seat, with the BJP winning all of them.

In the 2019 election, BJP's PC Mohan retained the seat, securing 6,02,853 votes. Congress's Rizwan Arshad came second with 5,31,885 votes, and independent candidate actor Prakash Raj came third with 28,906 votes.
In the 2014 election, BJP's PC Mohan won with 5.57 lakh votes, defeating Congress's Rizwan Arshad, who received 4.19 lakh votes, by around 1.37 lakh votes. This election saw about 55% voter turnout.
Notably, in this election, the Aam Aadmi Party, contesting the Lok Sabha election for the first time, came third, while JD(S) and BSP candidates were fourth and fifth, respectively.
This year, The sitting MP, PC Mohan, is once again contesting for a BJP ticket from Bengaluru Central, actively campaigning on his progress report from the last three terms.
Meanwhile, the Congress has fielded Mansoor Ali Khan in Bengaluru Central against PC Mohan. Khan's campaign promises include advocating for the proper allocation of funds to Bengaluru from the central government.
