Karnataka Weather Alert: IMD Warns Of Foggy Mornings And Light Rain In Bengaluru With Winter's Arrival
As the Northeast Monsoon transition period comes to an end, Karnataka officially enters the winter season. However, despite the seasonal shift, some regions of the state are still experiencing heavy rainfall.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast scattered moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning, particularly in the southern interior, coastal, and hilly districts of Karnataka.

While the southern areas will witness this unsettled weather, the northern interior districts are expected to remain relatively dry, with only scattered showers predicted.
Weather Forecast for the Next 48 Hours:
The weather for the coming days will see a partly cloudy sky, with light rain likely in some regions. Fog and mist are expected during the early morning hours, especially in certain areas. Temperatures are likely to hover around a maximum of 28°C and a minimum of 19°C.

A cyclonic circulation has been noted over the Comorin area and its surrounding regions, located approximately 0.9 km above mean sea level. This atmospheric system is influencing the current weather pattern.
Rainfall and Temperature Forecast: Heavy rainfall was expected in several districts on November 18, and this pattern will continue across Karnataka until November 25. According to weather predictions, the rain will persist in various parts of the state through December 3.
The coastal districts of Karnataka, including Bengaluru, will experience rainfall. Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts are expected to see significant rainfall, while other areas such as Mysuru, Kodagu, Shivamogga, Chikkaballapur, Bengaluru Urban, Chikkamagaluru, Kolar, Bengaluru Rural, and Chamarajanagar will also receive showers.

In the rest of Karnataka, especially the interior and coastal areas, dry winds will continue. The cold is expected to ease in these regions over the next few days.
