Netizens Slam Rahul Gandhi For Aishwarya Rai Dance Remark, Call It Insult To Kannadiga Pride

Netizens slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his misogynistic remarks against Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a Kannadiga. A few days ago, while addressing a public gathering during Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Rahul Gandhi took Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's name at least four times when he was hitting out at the Prime Minister in the context of Ram Mandir.

Rahul Gandhi said the Prime Minister invited Adani, Ambani, Amitabh Bachchan, and Aishwarya Rai but not any tribal or backward. He said even the President of India Smt Droupadi Murmu was not invited to the temple's inaugural ceremony. "This is their Hindustan, not yours," Rahul Gandhi said.

Rahul Gandhi And Aishwarya Rai

Slamming the right wing media, Congress MP had said, 'Media mein kuch dikhana hai toh Aishwarya Rai ko nachte hue dikhana hai." (Media houses are only interested in showing Aishwarya Rai dancing).

Rahul Gandhi was widely criticised for his statement.

A social media user slammed Rahul Gandhi saying "Such a shameful remark by Congress leader during his road show: 'Amitabh Bachchan naach raha hai-Uske Sath Aishwarya Rai naach rahi hai!' Mr. Gandhi, Bachchan Saab is an Indian icon. He is not your party member or any common man. If you don't know how to respect elders, you will never get respect.

Another social media user said Aishwarya Rai is Bachchan is a self-made Kannda woman and pride of Karnataka. Rahul Gandhi has no right to insult her.

Joining the chorus, Karnataka BJP today termed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's insult as an insult to Kannadiga women and Kannadiga pride.

"Hello Mr. @siddaramaiah, as your boss continues to insult a fellow Kannadiga, will you uphold your professed Kannada pride & speak out against such disrespect, or will you remain silent to safeguard your CM Chair?" Karnataka BJP posted on X calling this Rahul Gandhi's 'dangerous and creepy obsession with successful and self-made women,' Karnataka BJP said.
