Former UK PM Rishi Sunak, Sudha Murthy Offer Prayer At Raghavendra Swami Mutt In Bengaluru
Rishi Sunak, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, visited the Sri Raghavendra Swami Mutt in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, with his wife, Akshata Murthy, and family during the holy month of Kartika.
He was accompanied by his mother-in-law and renowned philanthropist Sudha Murthy.

At the mutt, located in Jaya Nagar fifth block, the family participated in rituals to honor Guru Raghavendra, a revered figure in Hinduism whose teachings inspire many. This visit offered the Sunak family a moment to embrace their heritage and observe traditions rooted in Indian spirituality.

Rishi Sunak, who served as the UK Prime Minister from October 2022 until his resignation in July 2023, made history as the first British Indian to hold the role. His successor, Keir Starmer, a former barrister, took office in 2024, bringing a new era to UK leadership.
