Actor Darshan's Presence At Renuka Swamy Crime Scene Confirmed by CCTV and Call Records
Sandalwood actor Darshan was arrested based on statements from accused in Renuka Swamy murder case. Raghavendra had brought Renuka Swamy from Chitradurga on the morning of Saturday, June 8. During the police investigation, it was revealed that the deceased Renuka Swamy had reached Bengaluru at 1 am on Saturday. Renuka Swamy was later taken to a shed located within Kamakshipalya police station limits at 2:30 pm. According to reports, Darshan entered the shed three hours later. The assault occurred in Darshan's presence, and the body was disposed of on Saturday night.
As soon as Renuka Swamy's body was found in the drain in Kamakshipalya on Sunday i.e June 9, the forensic science laboratory team began their investigation. The police determined it was a murder based on the injuries found on the body. Following the discovery of the body on Sunday, June 9, the accused became frightened. Four suspects confessed to the murder. When questioned about the motive, the truth emerged.

CCTV Footage shows Darshan entering shed
The accused were caught on CCTV, and their phone network locations were detected. Renuka Swamy's mobile location was also traced to the crime scene. Darshan's involvement is confirmed by the statements of the main accused and the phone records placing him at the location. Additionally, the police have obtained call records showing communication between the accused. Various items were found at the scene of the attack.
According to reports, Darshan's Jeep Wrangler was seen entering the shed at 8:00 PM and leaving at 9:30 PM. The shed, owned by his friend Vinay and an uncle who had rented it to someone else, is now a key location in the investigation.
Darshan underwent a medical check-up at Bowring Hospital, along with 13 other accused. The police have tightened security around the hospital, deploying more than 50 officers and two additional KSRP contingents as a precautionary measure.
Renuka Swamy was found to have 15 injuries on his body, inflicted in various areas including the nose, leg, head, back, and jaw. He was assaulted with a strong object, possibly wood.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda stated, "In connection with the murder case registered at Kamakshipalya police station on the morning of June 9th, a Kannada actor has been detained and is being questioned. Since the investigation is ongoing, we cannot share more details at this time. The victim, Renuka Swamy, is from Chitradurga. More than 10 people are being questioned in relation to this case."
What the FIR Said
Based on a complaint by Keval Ram Dorji, a security guard at Anugraha Apartment, the Kamakshipalya police have registered an FIR under sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of an offense).
On the morning of June 9th, the security guard reported that he was walking by a drain near the apartment in Kamakshipalya when he spotted the body of a man, aged between 30 and 35, lying by the side of the road. The body was found with multiple injuries and bloodstains. Suspecting a murder, the police registered the case and initiated an investigation.
