BESCOM announces planned Bengaluru power cut on 14 February, affecting several neighbourhoods for maintenance work. Outages are linked to urgent repairs at multiple 66/11 kV substations under KPTCL. Power will be unavailable in different parts of the city between 10 am and 5 pm that Saturday.

Across these zones, residents and businesses are advised to plan for the daytime shutdown. Essential services depending on electricity may face short-term disruption. The maintenance schedule covers Jalahalli, Domlur, Indiranagar, Halasuru, CV Raman Nagar, Mysuru Road, central business areas and many nearby layouts.

Bengaluru power cut schedule at Amarajyothi substation

At the 66/11 kV 'Amarajyothi’ station, emergency maintenance will cause a Bengaluru power cut from 10 am to 3 pm. Areas around Domlur and HAL will be affected. The list includes both residential pockets and commercial stretches with offices, hospitals and tech parks.

The following locations will face supply interruption linked to the Amarajyothi work: Domlur 2nd Stage, Kodihalli, Domlur village, Yogananda Layout and Paramahamsa Road. Maintenance at the 66/11 kV Gokul substation under the Jalahalli division will trigger a Bengaluru power cut from 10 am to 5 pm. This work falls under KPTCL, with BESCOM sharing the detailed list of affected northern localities and residential townships.

Outages will hit Gokul MUSS surroundings, D.B. Sandra 4th Block, J.B. Kaval forest zone, Gangamma Circle, D.B. Sandra 2nd Block and Kammagondanahalli. BEL North and South Colony, Bahubali Nagar, Patel Pille Gowda Layout, Bloom Field Garden, Ramachandrapura and Jalahalli village are also covered.

The same Bengaluru power cut window applies to Sharadambanagar, HMT Industrial Estate, Prestige Wellington and Prestige Kensington apartments, Muthyalnagar, Chamundeshwari Layout, Nanjappa Layout and C. Ramayya Layout. Gokul Extension, HMR Layout MRTDC, other Prestige apartments and surrounding pockets will also see daytime interruptions.

Bengaluru power cut details for Remco and NGEF substations

Another block of repairs is planned at the 66/11 kV Remco station, causing a Bengaluru power cut between 10 am and 5 pm. This will mainly affect areas along Mysuru Road and adjacent residential clusters with mixed commercial activity.

Separately, emergency work at the 66/11 kV 'NGEF’ station will bring a Bengaluru power cut from 10 am to 3 pm. Large parts of central-east Bengaluru, including Indiranagar, Halasuru and CV Raman Nagar, fall under this schedule with many streets and layouts listed.

Power will be off in Jogupalya (Ilpe Thoppu), Car Street, Bazaar Street, Jogupalya Main Road, Ranka Court and Artillery Road. Gautampur, Cambridge Road, RMZ Millenia, Halasuru, Halasuru Road, Canara Bank, Ajanta Trinity Circle, Indiranagar 1st Stage and HAL 2nd Stage form part of the affected zone.

The NGEF Bengaluru power cut area also includes Old Madras Road, Benniganahalli, A Narayanapura, B Narayanapura, Kaggadasapura, Akash Nagar and Pai Layout. Udayanagar, Byrasandra, CV Raman Nagar, NGEF Layout East, Sadanandanagar, Kasturinagar, Bhuvaneshwari Nagar and Varthur Road will be without power during the work.

Work at the 66/11 kV 'Kanteerava’ station will lead to a Bengaluru power cut from 10 am to 5 pm. This outage touches several core city commercial stretches, government offices, colleges, hospitals and dense market streets around KG Road and surrounding lanes.

Areas listed include Cubbonpete 5th, 6th, 3rd and 4th Cross, and Chowlagalli A, B, C and D. RBI, Nrupatunga Road, UVCE, the Agriculture Office, Government Arts College, Martha’s Hospital, Sunkalpet, Nagarathpet Main Road and KAS Lane will all be affected.

The Bengaluru power cut from Kanteerava station will also cover C Lane, A Lane, D Lane, PRS Lane, Cubbonpete 13th, 14th and 15th Cross. Part of KG Road, OTC Road, the rear of Sharada Theatre, SP Road, SJP Road, Dharmaraya Swamy Temple Road, Adarsh Shangri-La and surrounding areas are included.
