Bengaluru Man Gropes And Molests Woman During Morning Walk, Disturbing CCTV Footage Goes Viral
A disturbing incident of alleged harassment occurred in the early hours of Friday, August 2, in Bengaluru south, but only came to light on Monday when the victim reported the incident to the police.
According to officials, woman in her mid 30 was waiting for her neighbors to join her for a morning walk in the Konanakunte police limits at around 5 am. According to police reports, the victim, originally from Rajasthan, had been on her daily morning walk and was waiting for a friend when the assault took place.

As she waited, wearing a saree, an unknown man suddenly appeared from behind and grabbed her. The woman, feeling threatened, began to run. The man chased her for a few meters before catching up to her and attempting to overpower her. He allegedly held her mouth shut, continued to touch her inappropriately, and tried to intimidate her as she screamed for help. The suspect then fled the scene.
The entire incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera.
Police officials stated that once they were informed of the incident, they traced the victim and lodged a First Information Report (FIR) following a complaint on Sunday.
A case has been registered under Sections 74 (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 75 (sexual harassment), 78 (stalking), and 79 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation is currently underway.
