Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava 2025 Kicks Off with Power-Packed Line-Up of Artists

Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava 2025 returns for its 63rd edition from August 27 to September 6 at APS College Grounds and National College Grounds in Basavanagudi. Organised by Sri Vidyaranya Yuvaka Sangha, the festival has grown into one of Bengaluru's most iconic cultural celebrations, blending devotion, art, and sustainability.

The event begins with Pushpa Alankara Seve and Ganapati Homam, setting a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Each evening from 5 pm, the grounds will host devotional music concerts, dance performances, and cultural showcases that reflect the festival's commitment to tradition while embracing contemporary creativity.

Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava is widely recognised for its eco-friendly practices. The 2025 edition will once again remain plastic-free, with recyclable mantapas and eco-conscious Ganesha idols. These sustainable initiatives have made the Basavanagudi Ganesh festival a model for responsible celebrations across Karnataka.

This year's cultural lineup is one of the most exciting yet. The opening night will feature MD Pallavi's Bhakti Sangeetha followed by a classical dance performance from Aayana Dance Company. Popular names such as Raghu Dixit, Vijay Yesudas, Vijay Prakash, Crazy Star Ravichandran, Praveen Godkhindi, Lakshmi and Indu Nagaraj, Pandit Venkatesh Kumar, and Soorya Gayathri will perform on different days. Adding to the grandeur, the Beat Gurus ensemble of 200 drummers will lead the evening Arathi, creating a powerful and immersive experience for devotees.

A unique highlight this year is the all-women's mass recital of Ganesha Pancharatna on August 31, which promises to be a moving expression of devotion and unity. Themed dance productions will also bring together traditional art forms and modern storytelling techniques, offering a captivating experience for audiences of all ages.

The grand finale on September 6 will be the Ganapati Visarjane procession, a spectacular event that concludes the 11-day festival. With its blend of music, spirituality, eco-consciousness, and community spirit, Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava 2025 continues to be one of the city's most cherished and awaited celebrations.
