Bengaluru Bandh: Dead Rat Found In Breakfast Served To Cops Amid Cauvery Strike
Bengaluru Bandh: During the ongoing protest and strike in Bengaluru against the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu, a bizarre incident unfolded when a deceased rat was found in the breakfast served to police personnel.
According to the news agency ANI, while officers assigned to security duties were on alert during the Cauvery water dispute-related bandh and protests in Bengaluru, they found a dead rat in their breakfast.

The Joint Commissioner of Police instructed the Yeshwantpur police to investigate the private hotel responsible for supplying the food to the officers. The hotel proprietor was also served a notice addressing this concerning matter.
Anucheth stated, "A case will be registered against the hotel owner. Fortunately, the issue was discovered before anyone consumed the contaminated food."
Further inquiries into the incident are currently underway.
Meanwhile, the 12-hour strike in Karnataka's capital witnessed action as members of the Cauvery Urimai Meetpu Kulu staged a 'rail roko' protest in Thanjavur by blocking the Cholan Express train. They strongly criticized the Karnataka government for releasing Tamil Nadu's allotted water from the Cauvery River. The protestors were subsequently apprehended by the police.
On Tuesday, the Cauvery Water Regulation Committee in New Delhi recommended that Karnataka release 3000 cusecs of water daily at Biligundlu, commencing from 8 a.m. on September 28 and continuing until October 15.
Former Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy criticized the ruling Congress, expressing his disapproval of the reported detention of farmers and Kannada activists participating in the 'bandh' to protest the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.
