Suicide: Jiah Khan-Suraj Pancholi's SMS details emerged

Mumbai, June 5: Mumbai Police sources finally disclosed few details of messages which were sent and received by Jiah Khan on her mobile phone the moment before she committed suicide on Monday, June 3.

25-year-old Jiah, a Bollywood actress, was in a relationship with actor Aditya Pancholi's son Suraj Pancholi. Jiah reportedly was depressed over Suraj's love interest in another woman.

According to sources, Jiah had called Suraj and was told that he was waiting for a lady at a Juhu hotel. Shocked over Suraj's response, Jiah was learnt to have sent a message asking his relationship with the woman. It was reported that the woman is the family jeweller of the Pancholis and she is at least 20 years older to Suraj.

The source also informed that Suraj was supposed to make some payment for a bracelet to the lady. Hence, he was waiting for her at the hotel.

Suraj along with his father were questioned by Mumbai Police on Tuesday. The police claimed that Jiah was depressed over his career and broken relationship with Suraj.

Jiah's mother and former Bollywood starlet Rabia Khan also said, "She was fed up with the struggle... she was besotted with Bollywood, but Bollywood had nothing to offer her."

Jiah was found dead in her Juhu residence in Mumbai on Monday. Her mother and sister were not present at the flat. Postmortem report said the young actress died due to hanging.

Her last rites were performed on Wednesday. She was buried in the Santa Cruz graveyard in Mumbai.
