TMC's tally likely to go down in next LS polls: Survey

According to the survey, the TMC is likely to get 14 seats if it contests the next major elections alone. The tally of the Left Front is likely to increase to 18 from 15. The Congress is expected to win nine seats. The survey predicts zero tally for the BJP.
In case the TMC and Congress contest together, their tally is likely to be 23 as against the Left's 17.
In the 2009 parliamentary elections, the TMC-Congress alliance had won 25 seats (19 and 6 seats, respectively) while the Left Front had won 15 seats. The BJP had won one seat while others also won one seat.
In the Left Front, the CPI(M)'s tally is set to increase to 11 from current nine.
The BJP on Sunday announced its team for the 2014 polls and Varun Gandhi has been made in-charge of West Bengal.
