New Delhi, March 12: Senior army officers from the National Defence College (NDC) on Monday met Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and discussed a number of issues related concerning the national interest with him.

The team comprising 22 senior officers of the NDC were in Ahmedabad on a study tour.

While speaking to the officers, the Gujarat CM regretted the affect of vote-bank politics in the country and said in the present democratic framework of governance, the rulers of the country must abide by a 'zero tolerance' policy towards terrorism as a part of serving the nation.

While speaking on the success story of Gujarat, the leader told the NDC members that development was not a political agenda any more but an agenda of the people.

The visiting team, led by Commandant Vice-Admiral Sunil Lamba, also lauded Modi and praised his concept of 'India First' in the context of national interest.
