ND Tiwari admitted to AIIMS after giving blood sample

was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in

on Thursday after he complained of uneasiness. The 88-year-old leader was being supervised by Dr M Suneja from the Medicine department of the AIIMS.

Hospital sources said a wheel-chair bound Tiwari was brought to the hospital at around 2 pm. “He was made to undergo several tests for he has diabetes, Parkinson's disease, ischemic heart disease and hypothyroidism. He is better now. We will decide the next medical step once the reports come,” said hospital sources.

It may be mentioned here that Tiwari gave a blood sample in Dehradun on Thursday as per the Supreme Court's order in connection to a paternity case lodged by Rohit Shekhar, who claims to be Tiwari's biological son.
