Polls: Sanjay Dutt's wife, sis become a victim of 'goof-up'

Mumbai, Feb 6: With the BMC polls on its way, the sister of Sanjay Dutt, Congress MP Priya Dutt and his wife Maanyata have fallen victims to an apparent goof-up in the electoral rolls. While Priya Dutt's images have been replaced with someone else's, Maanyata's pictures too have been misplaced in the electoral rolls.

Priya Dutt's picture has been switched with Ratna Gupta's image, while her name has been spelt as 'Datt' making it more difficult in case anyone searches her name in the English list.

Meanwhile, Manyataa Dutt's photos have been replaced with one Shivani Gupta. The list for the BMC polls, which are scheduled to take place on Feb 16 was released recently.

Apart from these two, Chand Goel, Additional Chief Secretary of the state election commission has also fallen victim to the goof ups as his gender is shown as female, while Goel's name is spelt as 'Goyal'.

"We kept our offices open for appropriate changes to be done, before the voters list was finally released on January 5," said Neela Satyanarayan, State Election Commissioner.
