Madhya Pradesh minister says no to shoes with laces

Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh, Jan 23: Days after Madhya Pradesh cooperative minister Gauri Shakar Bisen was criticised for making a boy tie his shoe lace at a public rally at Khamara, the minister has now vowed in front of the media not to wear shoes with laces anymore.

"I swear that from now onwards, I will not wear any shoes with laces. I have specially brought from Pune six pairs of shoes without laces," he said.

The incident happened in the presence of Kamal Nath, Union development minister, who called the act highly condemnable.

The minister defending his stand said that he made the boy tie his shoe lace as he underwent a by pass surgery recently and was told not to bend. He further said that the boy was employed by him to take care of his needs.

Bisen said that when the boy saw him tying his shoe laces, he himself came forward to help him. Further speaking in an advising tone, he said that one should keep in mind before indulging in such activities in public life.
