Delhi: Rs 6 cr fake currency seized, Anna fails in India !

New Delhi, Jan 12: It seems that Anna Hazare has failed in enlightening the Indians to gear them up in booting out corruption from its roots. Everyday one or the another grabs headlines. This time Delhi police on Thursday, Jan 12 seized fake currency worth Rs 6 core.

The cops seized the huge amount of fake currency in the denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 1000. The fake notes were hidden inside cloth bundles and were kept inside two tempos near a godown in Dabri area in the national capital. Media reports quoted police officials as saying that counterfeit notes were smuggled in from neighboring countries.

In an another report, a lower division clerk in the Ujjain Municipal Corporation earning a monthly salary of Rs 14,000 was raided and found to have assets worth Rs 14 crore. Following such revelations, another report emerged as saying that top political leaders in Punjab alone are worth Rs 200 crore. [Read: Filthy rich; Punjab politicos are worth Rs 200 crore]

Citing all these news, many already started reiterating that India will remain India as the country shows no interest to change itself for good.
