BJP for bringing PM under the ambit of Lokpal: Dhumal

Shimla, Aug 20: BJP government in Himachal Pradesh has conveyed to the Centre its endorsement of the party's unambiguous stand on the inclusion of Prime Minister under the ambit of Lokpal, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said on Aug 19.

This was one of the points on which the Centre had elicited the opinion of the state governments, he said.

The "known" stand of the party was conveyed to the Centre by the state government, Dhumal said replying to queries of mediapersons here.

Ridiculing the government for its alleged "faux pass" on Anna Hazare''s protest fast, he said on August 16, the Gandhian was a "persona non grata" and targeted by Congress ministers but on the very next day he dictated his terms and the government "meekly surrendered".

He said the BJP workers were supporting the agitation of Anna Hazare on Lok Pal and favoured inclusion of PM under its ambit.
