Boy sexually assaulted by seniors at Tirupati Vedapatasala

Tirupati, Aug 3: In a shocking news, a 12-year-old boy was allegedly molested by his seniors at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD)"s Vedapatasala.

The TTD officials said that two seniors sexually assaulted the boy for more than a week and the accused allegedly attacked the boy with a blade when he resisted their approaches. Later the boy went into depression and was admitted to the hospital with high fever.

The 12-year-old boy, who joined the Vedapatasala for a 12-year-course in Yajurveda, informed the brutal incident to one of the TTD officials and later it was informed to Joint Executive Officer and the Executive Officer.

"I myself spoke to the Tirupati urban SP N Prabhakar and 14 persons are on the job, keeping a vigil on the students in the Vedapatasala but unfortunately this has happened," said TTD JEO (Tirumala) KS Srinivasa Raju.

According to sources, culprits have been identified as a 13-year-old from Nellore and a 16-year-old Sudarshan from Guntur.

The latest sexual assault popped up just a month after another boy was also sexually harassed at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Vedapatasala.
