Mumbai: Model arrested on charges of robbery

Mumbai, Aug 3: A Mumbai based model was arrested by the Andheri police on charges of robbery.

24-year-old Tarun Kapoor was arrested after he flew in two of his accomplices to accompany him in the robbery.

Tarun who hails from Delhi came to Mumbai few years ago and was living at Oshiwara in a rented flat.

Kapoor along with his aides attacked Sanjeev Kumar, a MBA student who was on a lookout for job. The victim was travelling in a rickshaw. The model's aides, who were travelling in a different auto-rickshaw followed the victim and tried to snatch his gold chain.

While resiting, the the duo attacked Sanjeev with a butcher's knife and then fled in Kapoor's car. The auto driver, who somehow managed to recover the air ticket from the accused, later approached the police. Following the trail, the police later nabbed the culprits after contacting the travel agent for leads.
