Bangalore: Two-year-old dies after falling from 3rd floor

Bangalore, Aug 3: Barely a week after an 18-month-old toddler fell to death from the 9th floor of an apartment here, another tragic incident took place after a two-year-old fell from the 3rd floor of his house at Shamanna Garden, Bangalore.

The incident took place in the afternoon when Mohammed Noor climbed up the 3rd floor through the grill gate from the 2nd floor. On attempting to climb on the parapet wall, he slipped down and fell.

Passer-byes shout for help went in vain as it was too late. The child was rushed to Victoria Hospital after which he was shifted to Nimhans.

"He died while undergoing treatment for head injuries. He might have also sustained fractures on his backbone," said the police.

The body will be handed over to the police after post-mortem reports, said S N Siddramappa, Deputy Commissioner of police (west).
