Heavy torrential rain disrupts Konkan railway services

Mumbai, Jul 18: Torrential rainfall along the Konkan coast region led to major disruption of train services on the Konkan Railway route resulting to the cancellation of several trains.

"Due to heavy rainfall in Konkan region, particularly in Sindhudurg and Kudal, train services on Konkan railway route are disrupted," said Konkan Railway public relations officer, Siddeshwar Telegu.

The Down cancelled trains include 12133 CSTM Mangalore Junction Express leaving CSTM on Monday, 12619 LTT Mangalore 'Matsyagandha' Exp. leaving LTT on Monday and 12051 CSTM Madgaon 'Jan Shatabdi' Exp. leaving CSTM on Monday, Jul 18.

The Up trains cancelled include 10216 Madgaon Ernakulam Express leaving Ernakulam today, 12052 Madgaon-CSTM 'Jan Shatabdi' Exp. leaving Madgaon on Monday and 12620 Mangalore -LTT 'Matsyagandha' Exp. leaving Mangalore on Monday, the release said.

The 12977 Ernakulam Ajmer 'Marusagar' Express which left Ernakulam on Sunday has been diverted via Shoranur Junction, Jolarpettai Junction, Bangalore, Guntakal, Wadi, Solapur, Pune, Kalyan and Vasai Road.

The 12224 Ernakulam-LTT 'Duronto' Express which left Ernakulam yesterday has been diverted via Shoranur Junction, Jolarpettai Junction, Bangalore, Guntakal, Wadi, Solapur, Pune and Kalyan.
