Is Sri Sri Ravishankar a govt weapon to mar Ramdev's fast?

New Delhi, Jun 11: Well known for his Art of Living organisation, the spiritual guru, Sri Sri Ravishankar's meeting with Baba Ramdev on Friday, Jun 10 raised controversy. Many said that Union Law Minister, Veerappa Moily had approached Ravishankar and urged him (spiritual guru) to request the yoga guru to call off his fast.

Snubbing all these speculations, Moily finally broke his silence on the issue as the Law Minister claimed, "Sri Sri Ravishankar is not an emissary of the government."

The minister also said that Sri Sri Ravishankar himself approached the UPA government and offered help to break the fuss between the government and Baba Ramdev.

However, despite Sri Sri Ravishankar's meeting and request, Ramdev continues his fast which has entered the 8th day on Saturday. Currently, he has been admitted in ICU in a local hospital in Dehradun.

Citing his deteriorating health, doctors and government officials forcibly moved Baba Ramdev from his Haridwar Ashram to the hospital on Friday.
