Call centres to help voters in Haryana

Haryana map
Chandigarh, May 28: Haryana will soon have call centres at state and district levels to address the various queries of voters.

A sum of Rs 45 lakh has been earmarked to implement the scheme, Haryana's Chief Electoral Officer Sumita Misra said on Saturday, May 28.

The service would be web-enabled so as to quickly respond to the queries and problems of the voters.

State-owned BSNL has been chosen to run these call centres, she said, adding that the telecom company would also forward bulk SMSes to the voters.

Around 1.26 crore mobile users in the state would benefit from this SMS facility, Misra added.
