40 lakh treated in health awareness campaign

Bhagalpur (Bihar), Feb 27 (PTI) Altogether 40 lakhpeople were treated during the month-long health awarenesscampaign throughout Bihar that concluded here today.

Health Minister Ashwani Chaube said this whilereleasing a report card of the initiate launched by the stategovernment last month to take medical facilities to thedoorsteps of the people.

The doctors also operated upon 22,000 patients andanother 2200 people underwent eye operation, Chaube said.

The health department organized medical camps at11,000 primary health centres across the state during thecampaign, he said.

Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi was present atthe concluding function.
