Police officers injured in stone-pelting at Bhoom
Osmanabad, Feb 24(PTI) Five policemen including twoofficers were injured when a mob pelted stones at the Bhoompolice station in Osmanabad district this evening.
Police sources said that two groups of the Pardhicommunity had had a quarrel, and both groups went to Bhoompolice station to lodge complaints.
While police were trying to mediate between them, the moballegedly turned violent and started pelting stones.
Police Inspector A M Andhurkar and sub-inspector L RKamble were seriously injured. Three other policemen too wereinjured.
Police fired three rounds in the air. Situation is nowtense but under control, sources added.
