Excise officer has assets of Rs 93 lakh

Hyderabad, Feb 22 (PTI) Anti-Corruption Bureau(ACB) officials unearthed disproportionate assets worth overRs 93 lakh belonging to an Inspector working in Prohibitionand Excise department in Prakasam district today.

Acting on a tip-off, the sleuths of ACB searchedresidences of D. Subba Rao, Prohibition and Excise Inspector,at Addanki village in Prakasam district, and that of hisrelatives.

Searches unearthed assets including 3 houses, one plotof land, cash of Rs. 1,04,000, bank balance of Rs 4,80,500,promissory notes of Rs. 16,00,000, and Gold worth of Rs 8lakh, among other things.

He would be produced in a court for ACB cases at Nelloretomorrow.
