Cold conditions prevail in parts of Punjab

Chandigarh, Feb 20 (PTI) Cold continued in Punjab andHaryana with many parts of the states registering below normaltemperatures.

Karnal in Haryana registered a minimum 7.8 degreeCelsius, two points below normal, while Rohtak settled at 9.3deg C, down one degree.

Ambala registered a low of 9.2 deg C, down one degree,and Bhiwani settled at 8.4 deg C, also down by a notch.

Amritsar in Punjab registered minimum 6.5 deg C, down onenotch.

Ludhiana settled at a low of 6.6 deg C, down two degrees,while Patiala recorded a minimum of 7 deg C, two points belownormal.

Chandigarh, the joint capital of the two states, recordeda low of 9.3 deg C.

Fog reduced visibility at Karnal, Rohtak and Amritsar.
