Youth jumps to death; police probing reports of a ''bet''

New Delhi, Feb 4 (PTI) A young man allegedly jumped to hisdeath from the third floor of his house in Outer Delhi withpolice today suspecting that he did it after a friendchallenged him to do so during a drinking session.

The incident was reported from Mangolpuri at around 11pm yesterday and the deceased has been identified as Anand(24).

According to police, Anand was consuming alcohol with hisfriends when the incident took place. He was rushed to SanjayGandhi Memorial Hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Police said they were investigating reports that Anandwas asked by a friend whether he could jump down from thethird floor and Anand took a bet to prove a point.
