MNF slams govt for not providing funds under SSA in Mizoram
Aizawl, Feb 04 (PTI) The opposition Mizo National Front(MNF) today slammed the Congress government of trying to sackmore than 2,000 teachers engaged under SSA, which it saidwould jeopardize education in the state.
A press statement issued by the party alleged thatthe state government failed to contribute the 10 per centstate matching share to the Sarba Shikshya Abhiyan for twoconsecutive years which resulted in massive shortfalls in theSSA fund.
Teachers employed under the SSA could not receivetheir salaries since October last year, the statement said.
