Industrial oils gains on hectic demand

Mumbai, Feb 4 (PTI) Castorseeds bold and castoroilcommercial both gained further at the oils and oilseedsmarket here today due to persistent demand from exportersamidst supply constraints.

Meanwhile, castorseed futures witnessed volatility andclosed lower on speculative offerings.

Refined palmolein also eased on lower Malaysian advices.

Groundnutoil and linseedoil maintained a stable trend inthe absence of market moving factors.

In the non-edible section, castorseed bold jumped by Rs100 per 100 kg to Rs 5,700 from yesterday''s closing levelof Rs 5,600 while castor oil commercial rose by Rs 20 per 10kg to Rs 1,170 as compared Rs 1,150 previously. Linseedoilheld steady at Rs 710 per 10 kg.

Turning to futures section, castorseeds for Marchdelivery resumed higher at Rs 4,885 and shuttled in a widerange of Rs 4,925 and Rs 4,792 before settling at Rs 4,812from Rs 4,821 yesterday, showing a modest loss of Rs 9 pertonne.

Moving to edible section, refined palmolein moved downby Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 605 from Thursday''s closing level ofRs 608. Groundnut oil were unaltered at Rs 765 per 10 kg. PTIPAK EDM
