NABARD sanctions loan of Rs 222 crore to AP
Hyderabad, Feb 3 (PTI) NABARD, the apex bank foragriculture and rural development, today said it hassanctioned a loan of Rs 222.71 crore to Andhra Pradesh for theimplementation of 22 micro irrigation projects.
These projects will be implemented by the Department ofHorticulture.
Out of the total outlay of 521.59 crore, NABARD hassanctioned Rs 222 crore, the balance will be met by the StateGovernment out of its budget and central subsidy.
The micro irrigation projects will benefit an area of119,600 hectares through adoption of drip and sprinklerirrigation systems.
These projects are expected to generate non-recurringemployment of 55.49 lakh man-days.
