Jaya not on Twitter, says tweets in her name are fake

Chennai, Feb 3 (PTI) AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa todaysaid impersonators were tweeting in her name on micro-bloggingsite Twitter and warned of legal action against thoseinvolved.

"It has been brought to my notice that tweets arebeing sent out through the social networking andmicro-blogging website Twitter in my name. I would like toclarify that I am not on Twitter," she said in a statementhere.

The tweeting was purportedly being done in her name byan imposter or impersonator, she said.

"I am initiating criminal action through the PoliceCyber-Crime Department. Meanwhile, I request my friends,followers, party cadres and political colleagues not to bemisled by the tweets attributed to me," she said.
