SSC quota to Naxal and border states for constable recruitment
Kolkata, Jan 25 (PTI) The Staff Selection Commissiontoday said the government has offered a quota to Naxal-affected border districts of the state for the upcomingconstable recuitment drive.
SSC chairman N K Raghupathy said out of a total vacancyof 5,810 constables in the state, the three Naxal-hitdistricts of Bankura, Purulia and Midnapur has a quota of 977.
A total 2226 vacancies are meant for the border districtslike North and South 24-Parganas, Nadia, Murshidabad,Coachbehar and Darjeeling.
SSC will recruit 55,000 constables under the HomeMinistry across the state.
