Govt not planning disinvestment in BSNL for now:Pilot
Indore, Jan 24 (PTI) Ruling out possibility ofdisinvestment in the state owned BSNL in near future, UnionMinister of State for Communication and IT, Sachin Pilot todaysaid that presently the government''s priority is to get thiscompany out of red.
"There was no disinvestment going on in BSNL and weare working towards strengthening its financial condition, sothat it can make up its earlier losses," Pilot told reporterson the sidelines of a function.
"In this government company, any step of disinvestmentwill only be taken after taking the consent of lakhs of itsemployees," he said.
"We want that whenever BSNL''s disinvestment takesplace, it should get the highest value so that the commonpeople gets benefit out of it," he said.
Terming the demand of a JPC inquiry into the 2G scamas unreasonable, Pilot said that the government has alreadyhanded over its probe to the concerned agencies.
He assured that after the probe, those found guiltyin the 2G scam, irrespective of their position, will not bespared.
