Boy, girl jump off 10th floor of building in Ahmedabad, die

Ahmedabad, Jan 24 (PTI) A boy and a girl, bothclassmates, allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the10th floor of a building here today, police said.

The incident took place in Bapunagar area where oneParth Joshi (17) and his classmate Ankita Patel (16) tiedthemselves together with a ''dupatta'' and jumped off the tenthfloor of Shyam-Shikhar Tower, they said, adding both died onthe spot.

The duo, students of Shriji Vidyalaya in Bapunagar,had been missing since the last three days. Their bodies havebeen sent for postmortem, police said.

Investigation was on to find out the reason behind thetwo teenagers taking such an extreme step, police said, addingthey were questioning the family members of the deceased. PTIPB PD RSY ETB
