Rahul Gandhi encourages Lucknow youth to join politics
Lucknow, Jan 11 (ANI): Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said the government is taking several steps to check corruption and rising inflation, and asked the youth to join politics for good governance and better development of the nation.
Addressing an interactive session with students of different institutions here, Gandhi said both he and his party were concerned about issues like the price rise and corruption, and asserted that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government at the Centre is taking several measures to reverse existing trends.
During the interactive session, which lasted for around 45 minutes, the students put up several questions before the Gandhi scion, which included the standard of education, eradication of corruption, poor condition of Aganwadi centres in rural areas and more seats for post graduation at university as well as medical colleges.
