Digvijay trying to cover Cong scams: BJP

Digvijay Singh
New Delhi, Dec 11: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has slammed Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh for his comments over the death of ATS chief Hemant Karkare during 2008 Mumbai terrorist attack.

BJP leaders said that Digvijay was trying to pull out the attention from Congress scams. BJP also added that by commenting over Karkare's death, Digvijay has given a wrong signal.

BJP leaders said, Digvijay's comments were unfortunate and will give a leverage to the Pakistan terrorists.

Earlier on Saturday, Dec 11, Digvijay Singh told that ATS Chief Hemant Karkare had called him hours before his death in the terrorist shoot-out. He also claimed that Hemant Karkare was under threat by those opposing the Malegaon blast probe.

Thirty seven people were killed and 125 people injured in a bomb blast on Sep 29, 2008, at Malegaon, a communally-sensitive textile town in Nasik district of North Maharashtra. The probe into the blast has brought into focus some right-wing Hindu groups.
