Suu Kyi aims to hold peaceful revolution in Burma

Yangon, Nov 15: Nobel Peace Prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, who received freedom after two decades of house arrest on Nov 13, stated that her aim is a peaceful revolution in Burma.

Stating about democracy in Myanmar (Burma), Suu Kyi claimed, "We must work together. We Burmese tend to believe in fate, but if we want change we have to do it ourselves."

She also asserted that she believed that democracy would come to Burma eventually, although she did not know how long it would take, reported BBC.

Suu kyi, the pro-democratic leader were under house arrest and was set free after all powerful nations raised voice for her release and the junta of Myanmar was bound to release her.
